St. Mary, High Falls, and Niagara Falls!
Woke up at Kim’s house, I felt so fresh! We prepared fruit salad, bread and a cup of tea for breakfast. Then we went to her office which is so artistic and beautiful! She owns a real estate company with several employees and agents.
After that she drove my friend back to hotel, and then drove me to St. Mary. I went to a service with Mrs. J, Mr. S & Mr. K. We had a very warm welcome there. Especially when the host asked us to introduce ourselves, I mentioned that I come from Indonesia - South East Asia, they gave applause AND special gift for us :))
On our way back to hotel, Josephine was so kind to drop us by at the HighFall. It was so hot on mid day, but it makes great pics :)
Back to hotel, to prepare ourselves for a journey to Niagara Falls! Yeay!!
Trip to Niagara Falls took 90 minutes from Rochester. We firstly took the world famous Maid of the Mist that cruises right to the base of the American Falls, then to the basin of the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. It’s a fantastic journey through crashing waters, surrounded by massive rock formations that have tamed the raging rapids for millions of years. (*as written on our itinerary)
It’s so fortunate of me to bring my water resistant Sony Xperia Z so that I can freely took lotsa pics when we were cruising without having to worry it would cause a damage at all. See that beautiful rainbow? It was taken under the strong crashing waters from the waterfall; that’s why we have to wear poncho.
While most of the groups took a rest, I continued exploring the place up to the Terrapin Point with other 3 guys. The view was even more wonderful! It’s the top point of the falls, and we can see clearly Canada right accross the river. And the weather was so perfect that we could get perfect pics :)
On our way back to hotel, that “wish you were here” feeling was so strong and even getting stronger when I tried to lullaby myself with the playlist on my XZ… Oh well.
