Welcome in Rochester, New York!

Originally called the “Flour City” because of its milling industries, Rochester also became known as the “Flower City” due to its nurseries, beautiful parks and rich fruit and gardening areas. The city sponsors an annual Lilac Festival in mid-May. Besides being the headquarters of Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester was the birthplace of Xerox and Bausch & Lomb.

Our flight was delayed for 1 hour because President Obama was coming to Rochester at the same time! We stay in Hyatt Rochester New York, I got a quite nice view facing Genesee River and Times Square building with marvelous sunset sight!

We had lunch in Tap & Table located on riverside of Genesee before hopping in Mary Jemison Cruise that took us along Genesee River. On our way back to hotel, we dropped by at Subway to buy dinner. After sunset I continue wandering around and drop by at Family Dollar buying cheap things :D

Ok I better go to sleep now because tomorrow we’re going to have serial meetings again and in this town we got no limousine service like in Washington DC anymore :))

Cheers,
