Enterprise Center of Jodhnson County, Women’s Business Center, Legoland, Irish Festival, Roasterie, City Stroll

Friday morning started in The Enterprise Center of Johnson County (ECJC), a reputable entity that works to stimulate business creation and employment in the region by providing resources and services to early stage, high-return, growth companies. It provides a full range of business consulting services, cost-effective spaces, and shared resources in an entrepreneurial environment. Since 2000, ECJC companies have included technology, biotechnology, clean energy, and business service companies.*

Still at the same place, we continued the meeting with Kansas Women’s Business Center that serve thousands of women business owners since July 2000. Both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs at every stage of business development can access training, access capital, and access resources and networks when they need it most. Programs are designed to support women as they launch and grow their businesses.

During lunch time we had 2 hours of free time in a shopping area. Apparently there will be an Irish Festival there as people are preparing :) I went to Legoland nearby but couldn’t enter the playland because we had to bring kid to play around, lol! So I just did some shopping at the stores, and had lunch afterwards. I also bought some cute & funny Hallmarks cards with sounds & animation ^.^

Last meeting of the day was in Roasterie, one of the most renowned speciality coffee roaster in the nation. The Roasteris is committed to finding the best coffees from around the world, and the beans are roasted using a convection air-roasting method. We also met Danny O'Neill in person, who founded The Roasterie in his basement in Kansas City’s neighborhoods. He’s sooooo tall!!

After back to hotel, I strolled around the hotel and took some good pics in Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts ^.^

Cheers,
