Resignation Letter

Sent: Saturday, September 20, 2008 11:21 AM Dear Sir,

My husband had been telling me to stop working ever since I was pregnant for my second baby, and I disagree. I set my goal to be a secretary  (esp. in an oil & gas company) since I was 10 years old, and I see no reason for me to stop at that time. But now, I’m afraid I couldn’t agree more. I’m working not merely for the money, but for self actualization. When self-actualization becomes very stressful and under pressure due to overload most of the time, then the money is not worth anymore. Coming home exhausted, I don’t have more time & energy left for my two babies, that’s when I feel very guilty and had to stop. I never let anyone take decision of my life, not even my husband, so this is my own decision. Family comes first. I am so thankful for given a chance to work for 4 years here. I believe it will be very easy for such reputable company as PTI to look for my substitute, but nobody could ever take my place of being their real mom. They need me more at this time. With all my qualifications and experience, I trust it won’t be hard for me either to get back to work when I’m ready. Please take this as my resignation letter and 1 month notice. Thank you. Best Regards,

Nuniek Tirta

Nuniek,

Thank you for the notice below. I can understand the reasons behind your decision, however I would like to discuss this with you further on Monday.

Have a good weekend and see you on Monday.

Best regards,

————————————————————————————————————————————————- Monday, September 22, 2008 10:00 AM Officially company doesn’t want you to go. Maybe you can think of temporary leave like 1, 3, 6 months or even a year, depends on how long you need. Just think about it again and let me know your final decision end of this week before long holiday.
