When I transit in Taipei on my way back to Jakarta from California last September, my steps were suddenly stopped by the beautiful instrument of Pachelbel. I looked around and found these wooden music toys. I instantly love them on the first sight and wanted to take one home. But when I saw the price tag, it was like… So expensive! So I just stood in front of the shop for more than 30 minutes looking at it and took a video. I replayed it over and over again on my way back home.
In Jakarta, I just realized after someone told me: the price must be in NT$, not US$ !! And I was like, OMG, why didn’t I think about that?! I felt sooo stupid and really regret why I didn’t even ask the shopkeeper. I missed getting what I really want just because I didn’t think about other options, and didn’t have initiative to ask. What I did was just wanting it but take no action other than adoring it. I just hoped one day I got a chance again to get what I wanted.
And turns out, the chance is TODAY! I’m in Taipei airport now but in different terminal with hubby because we don’t take the same flight. He’s now taking the same flight that I took that day. So I kept on reminding him to get what I want. I even remember vividly the shop’s location, and gave him clear direction. And there he sent this video just before boarding, and YES, I finally got what I want! PTL!!
