Let’s see if I have accomplished my 2012 Resolutions.
More travelling: pretty fine. Been traveled to Lombok, Banjarmasin, Pulau Tidung, Surabaya, Malang, Manila, Cebu. Missed my chance to visit Dubai though the visa is already in hand coz my daughter was having final exam at the same time and nobody could take care of my kids if I go. Our parents have their own businesses and we’re still maidless (we were not seriously looking actually). Family comes first, as always.
Lasik for my eyes: almost done. Went to iLasik seminar in Klinik Mata Nusantara for the third time to make sure once again and to get the special discount hehe. Paid the down payment on the same day, now I’m on the lens-free period for 2 weeks so I can get the consultation very early next year. They’ll examine if I am eligible to take iLasik treatment, and if I pass, I can have normal eyes without glasses nor lenses, which I’ve been considering for about 6 years. Wish me luck!
Other important notes during 2012: my parents are now hajj, my dad got heart attack in Mecca, my lil sist got appendectomy surgery after going in & out to several hospitals, my eldest daughter is now on elementary school, I moved her to a better school after going to a standard school for less than 3 months, my younger daughter got many excellent remarks and perfect 100 score on final exam, they both take swimming lesson weekly, my chubby girl can really swim for the first time, my hubby won the first prize for national scale award (Indigo by Telkom), gold award for ASEAN scale (AICTA), and 1st place winner for international scale award (GIST by US Department of State) which will be followed up by journey to Silicon Valley & White House in Aug-Sept 2013.
I got featured in several magazines, appointed as digital ambassador for several brands, I also moved on from Fimela to its holding company, Octovate Group Asia as Network Relationship Manager, helping to born and breed its new babies such as FimelaShop.com , Wishkoo.com , DamnILoveIndonesia.com, Muvila.com and Sooperboy.com . The highlight, I got an honor to present about Indonesia’s digital startup ecosystem in front of 50 Googlers from around the world including Marissa Mayer (before she moved to Yahoo! a month later), in our incubator Project Eden.
Now move on to 2013 Resolutions.
I want the most suitable education for each of my kid. They both are different (of course), and I want to focus on their talents instead of weakness. It’s ok to have weakness; everybody has. I want them to be happy with what they got, and emphasize on their own passion.
I wish to travel more with hubby. Not because I’m being dependant -of course I can go anywhere I want without him- but because I want to share all the excitement and experience with him. All these time I try to always accompany hubby whenever he got invited to speak out of town, so we can have quality time together. You know, we barely have time alone since kids are still clinging with us and if we go out there’s always the other person around: our driver :p
As for myself, I dont feel like being ambitious next year. I simply wanna enjoy my life, taking kids to any place they like before they grow up and refuse to hangout with their parents (like my bestfriend has experienced, whose first son is the same age as my eldest daughter). I also wanna support hubby to achieve more, as much as I could. I still wanna contribute more in digital startup industry for being a connector. If there’s one thing I should do more, maybe it’s writing. Either in this blog, tumblr, or any other place where I could share my thoughts. And oh, my dental braces are almost done! A few more controls and I’m gonna smile widely with my perfect teeth :D
I’m a process-oriented person, not a result-oriented person, and I’m cool with that. Gotta write more about that, later. Have a happy new year, friends :)
