On duty yesterday as panelist in seminar about Enhancing Women Owned SMEs’ Access to Capital: Special Focus on Apparel Industry in Surakarta, held in Novotel Solo.

The event was initiated by Canada-Indonesia Trade and Private Sector Assistance Project (TPSA Project), in collaboration with Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN).

The audience are 20 selected women owned SME. The main objective is to broaden knowledge of the SME’s owners about financial institution options suitable for their needs.

I’m always excited to share at this kind of event because 8 years ago I used to be one of the audience as SME owner. Now I can share my lessons learned as angel investor and mentor.

From pitching session I see that many of them has big potentials to grow and scale up. With the right direction, I’m sure they could take off. I told them I’m here to help, whenever they’re reaching out for advice.
