Before studying psychology, I thought I’ve been truly an extrovert all my life.
But then I learned that just because I am social, always meet new people, communicative and sociable, doesn’t mean I’m an extrovert.
The simplest way to know whether you’re an extrovert or introvert is: how do you get your energy?
If you get energy by meeting friends, talking to your besties, and hanging out with people, you’re an extrovert.
If you get energy by spending time alone, reading, listening to music, eating by yourself, you’re an introvert.
So after 3 days in a row meeting a lot of people and being in great crowds, I found myself so much drained and almost out of battery.
My mistake was I didn’t provide zen moment for my own self. Now it would take at least 2 full days for me to recharge my energy.
Reading, writing, and listening to music in my zen spots like this hammock at home :)
