Many people misunderstood “first date” as “first love”. Truth is, it’s totally different. First date does not necessarily have something to do with first love.
First date is someone you’re dating with for the first time whe you’re young, most probably on your early teenage age. You thought it’s true love, only to realize later that it’s just a crush. The feeling simply fades away when you find his weaknesses. It’s even totally gone when you find out he did something wrong to you.
First love is someone you fall in love with for the first time in your life. It has no certain age to find first love. You could have been dating dozens of guys and find your first love later on the 19th guys you’re dating, for instance.
Your feeling is not easily disrupted by his weaknesses; in fact it could even make you love him more as a real person with his imperfections. Your love for him is not simply dissolved even after he did huge mistake that it hurts you to the bone to forgive & forget.
Only then, the sayings “first love never dies” could be relevant. You still feel the butterfies in your stomache everytime the thought of him comes across your mind. You still can feel the touch of his fingers run through your hair, or his voice whispering something in your ear.
