My first day arrived in LA, I went there, Santa Monica pier. It was perfectly sunny, bright weather, and I got the round sunset. I was fascinated with the lovely ambiance of the place.
The next day I met a volunteer co-host for our program whose day job is a senior administrative analyst at City od Santa Monica. Not only he surprised us with proper Indonesian language, but also treated all of us for my birthday!
The next week he spared time during working hours to pick me up from airport after coming back to Chicago, to show me around the city, before I had to fly San Francisco heading back to Jakarta.
