It was an honor for me to be invited as one of International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) participants to learn about “Entrepreneurship” in United States of America for almost a month (17 Aug - 7 Sept 2013).

With Mr. Arif Setiawan, Atet Sugiharto, Karyana Hutomo, Mrs. Martini and Nur Hidayati, we visited Washington DC (17-22 Aug), Rochester New York (22-27 Aug), Kansas City & Missouri (27-31 Aug), Las Vegas (1-5 Sept) and Los Angeles (5-7 Sept).

But those precious learning & experience would mean nothing until we share it with others. So I initiated a #Startuplokal meetup to discuss about Entrepreneurship and Startups in the U.S. last Wednesday (23 Oct) in atamerica . Please click here to watch full video of the event (delivered in English and Indonesian language).

The event was running very well because of help & support from other IVLP participants (Pak Arif, Pak Atet and Pak Karyana), from other #Startuplokal initiators (Natali & Ollie) & volunteers (Herry, Suzie, Dani), from US Embassy staff (Mbak Shita & Mas Karim) and of course atamerica (Andiena & Prima).

The credit also goes to those who had supported us and made this #USTrip happened from the beginning until the end: Mbak Dian, Mas Heru, Ms Sylvie, Ms. Sarah, Pak Firman (US Embassy), Ms. Usha, Mr. Daniel (IIE), Mr. Karl (US Dept of State), Ms. K & Shawn (intrepreter), Ms. Josephine (local host - Rochester), Mr. Carlos (local host - LA), and many others that we couldn’t mention one by one.

I hope this beneficial program will keep on running and involve more Indonesian participants, to foster mutual understanding between U.S. and Indonesia =)

PS : Lighter notes about my #USTrip can be found here.

Cheers,
