The choice is yours, daddy...

Yesterday was a surprising day for daddy. He got some great news. And quite hard to choose.

  • In the morning, he had meeting with the company who will recruit him as a Digital Strategist. He will be working there starting this 19th Nov 07. As a start, he’s trusted to manage two projects, worth for 1 billion IDR each. He will also get share and commissions, plus medical benefits and other bonuses. The company has great plans for IT and daddy will be in charge of it. Promising future in hand lah.
  • In the afternoon, he got call from Mr. G in Swiss, informing that he got business visa and… WORK PERMIT! What? Work permit in Switzerland? Which is very limited due to quota system for third country nationals? We’ve been desperately waiting for that for about one year. We thought we’ll never get it, that’s why daddy took the offer from the above company, but now…
  • The boss that he’s working for previously is still have a will to take him as a consultant. So starting last week, daddy work on Saturdays for that company. The boss, who is more likely a partner to daddy, is still even willing to hire him back just in case daddy decide to take the Swiss offer, which would start on January 2008.
I, as his wife, basically support him in whatever decision he’ll take. But I only need him to do one thing: get his thesis done! He got only a MONTH left to do that (deadline is this December 19th, 2007!) and no progress at all since he last met the tutor months ago. Otherwise, he’ll be DROPPED OUT. I can’t imagine how disappoint his parents will be if it really happens… So, I’m “helping” him to make his choice to be easier: No thesis means no Swiss. Thesis done, you go to Swiss. Otherwise, Jakarta would still bring you a promising future. No worry daddy. The choice is all yours…
