For the previous 4 years, I spent new years eve with family in Bandung & Puncak. In Kota Bunga, I can see non-stop fireworks from sunset until sunrise. The sky was literally full of beautiful fireworks. It was funtastic that made us wanted to come back, 3 years in a row. Until we had enuff.
When Sherly invited us to her potluck party continued with new year celebration in Sudirman Park, I instantly said yes. The reasons were because we had no agenda yet, Sherly is a good friend, we will get to know new friends, and last but not least, I had never experienced a new year party from the height of Jakarta.
Proven that my reasons were strong and not wrong. I met new friends, made a lot of fun from swimming to watching my kids entertained all people in the room, and I was surprised by how beautiful Jakarta from the height is on new year eve. Fireworks were everywhere, completing the citilights, such an amazing view!
Then I remember on what I posted here around 30 minutes prior new year’s eve last night, about my 2012 Resolutions. There, I realized that travelling to a new place is not necessarily to new cities or countries (thou I still have a long list of places I wish to visit). We can “travel” to our own city and experience something different, and feel something new. Because…
Travelling is not about the destination; it’s about the journey =)
