Pulau Tidung

Last weekend me and my little family did an escape trip to Pulau Tidung, Thousand Island. We bought the package from Online.co.id only for IDR 284.000 (around 30 USD) per person, all in (transport, acccommodation, 3x meals)

We departed from Muara Angke Harbour, North Jakarta at 7am. It only took 2,5 hours and the normal cost is IDR 35.000 (around 4 USD) one way. Dont imagine a fancy cruise, it was only a traditional motor boat, but quite comfy.

Kids were so much excited, it was their first time sailing on a ship! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the sea and islands along the way..

We stayed at a homestay place with one air-conditioned bedroom, bathroom, and living room. There are 2 king sized bed and a single bed in a room. Too bad we forgot to take pictures of it :p

We then went to beach at the corner of the island, played bubble, built sand castle, looked for fish, and caught jellyfish with our new local friends :D

After took a nap, we went to Jembatan Cinta (Love Bridge) at the other corner of the island. It was lovely!

The bridge seemed so fragile that Michelle was first afraid to go on. I ensure her that I’ll always catch her if she’s about to fall. And the best way to beat fear is just by facing it, get used to it. When she made it, she felt much braver and smiled wide =)

Unlike her sister who enjoyed every second of it, Michelle worried about anything too much. I said the simplest way to be happy is just enjoy the moment, forget anything that makes you worry. Like Rene said, feel more, think less =)

At night we hang out in a cafe, drinking teh poci and munching french fries & banana with chocolate & cheese. We played and laughed a lot.

The next morning we departed from Pulau Tidung at 7:30am and arrived at Muara Angke at 10am sharp, picked up by our driver. And we got home safely, smiling happily =)

So, how was your weekend?
